I PAD Brief Description
The iPad (before its release, many referred to it as the Apple Tablet) is Apple's latest device and was officially announced January 27, 2010. The wifi-enabled version was released on April 3, 2010.
It is a touchscreen gadget, compared to a "huge iPod touch", that is used for ebook reading and web browsing, but it is more like a portable PC as it has apps that are similar to Microsoft Word etc. All of the Apps on the iPod Touch are included in the iPad.
It is 9.56 inches high, 7.47 inches wide, 0.5 inches thick, and weighs 1.5 pounds. You can purchase an iPad with 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB memory (compared to the traditional 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB).
